The health condition of former president Ion Iliescu, who has been hospitalized since Monday at the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI)’s „Agrippa Ionescu” Emergency Clinical Hospital, is stable, the SRI announced on Tuesday evening.

„At this moment, the patient is stable. Nothing has changed in the evolution of his health condition,” the quoted source stated.

The SRI previously reported that Ion Iliescu „went to the said hospital in Bucharest, for some investigations,” on Monday.

„The patient presented with a general condition altered by previously started respiratory symptoms. He was hospitalized, and is currently receiving specialized medical care, in parallel with the procedures for establishing the diagnosis,” the SRI informed.
