Option of rotating government is very likely, PSD says

The option of a rotating government is very likely, and PSD will go with this proposal to Thursday’s consultations at Cotroceni Palace, declared PSD spokesperson Florin Manole.

„At the consultations at Cotroceni we will go with this option of the rotation in which PNL starts and PSD continues. (…) The option of a rotation with PNL followed by PSD in government is a very likely option. The names [of the prime ministers] will obviously be decided during the consultations,” Manole said in a press conference after the PSD National Political Council.

He added that it is less important whether there will be a written agreement or not regarding the observance of the rotation of prime ministers.

„The form of the agreement is less important. The best example is that PSD and PNL managed to keep the word given in the previous government formula, so the form is not the main problem,” the PSD spokesperson said.

Asked whether the interim president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, will become the third man in the state, that is, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Florin Manole said: „The president of PSD is always an important man in the Romanian state. To the extent that, following the negotiations, we will keep this position, there will also be a discussion about the name that will occupy this position or keeping the current person.”
