Prime Minister-designate Ilie Bolojan, interim chair of the National Liberal Party (PNL), said on Monday that the political agreement to set up a coalition between PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR, and the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities will ensure a stable government focused on fundamental structural reforms, respect for citizens, and the consolidation of democracy.
„We have signed today the political agreement between PSD, PNL, USR, UDMR, and the Parliamentary Group of National Minorities for the setting up of a coalition that will ensure a stable government focused on fundamental structural reforms, performance in government, the development of Romania, respect for citizens, and the consolidation of democracy,” Ilie Bolojan told a joint press conference with the leaders of the PSD, USR, UDMR, and National Minorities after signing the political agreement.
He said that this agreement, together with the government program, concludes the procedures for establishing the new government so that on Monday afternoon the hearing of ministers in parliamentary committees can begin, followed by a vote in Parliament.
„I thank our coalition partners because, regardless of doctrinal orientations, regardless of past conflicts, in the face of this difficult situation for Romania generated by the budget crisis, we had the maturity and responsibility to reach a political agreement that will ensure stable government in Romania,” Bolojan said.
