Bucharest Stock Exchange opens lower on Tuesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower on Tuesday, with turnover amounting to 10.8 million lei (2.1 million euros) after one hour of trading.

The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a depreciation of 0.42%, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the 43 most liquid stocks on the BVB, registered a decline of 0.40%.

At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most traded securities, dropped by 0.50%, and the investment fund benchmark BET-BK fell 0.22%.

The BET-FI index of Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) showed a decline of 0.85%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, was down 0.35%.

Additionally, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, went down 0.10%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were posted by: Condmag (+14.29%), Transilvania Broker de Asigurare (+3.45%) and Romcab (+3.03%).

On the other hand, the sharpest declines were recorded by shares in Comcm (-7.78%), Vrancart (-7.76%) and Green Tech International (-3.69%).
