President Dan says Catalin Drula fits the bill for capital city mayor

Published on

President Nicusor Dan told a press conference on Wednesday that he met with former Save Romania Union (USR) leader Catalin Drula to discuss in particular transport in Bucharest, noting that Drula fits the bill for capital city mayor.

„I discussed with Mr. Drula a lot of things, related in particular to the Bucharest transport, you may know that he is passionate about this subject. Also, today’s coalition meeting was to make a decision on date of the Bucharest mayoral elections,” President Dan said when asked about the discussion with former USR leader Catalin Drulă.

Stressing that as Bucharest’s major issue is transport, the president said that „Someone with expertise in transportation [like Drula] is welcome in the competition for this job.”
