Posta Romana provides new service „StartPost – Registered office hosting” to entrepreneurs

Published on

Romanian entrepreneurs looking to start a business or relocate their company’s registered office can now access a new business service called „StartPost”, Valentin Stefan, director general of the „Posta Romana” (Romanian Post) National Company (CNPR), told a conference held on Monday.

„We thought it would be valuable to expand the concept of ‘Posta Romana – universal desk’ and offer Romanians the possibility of establishing company headquarters and registering businesses through post offices. I’m sure you’ve also noticed the public debate in recent days and weeks, where we’ve seen thousands of companies being registered in all sorts of obscure locations — from derelict apartments to open fields with no buildings whatsoever, yet somehow listed as company headquarters. (…) We thought it was time to support Romanian entrepreneurs by offering them an easier, more practical way to start a business. Last but not least, I believe the Romanian state would much rather interact with Posta Romana than with some obscure, hard-to-reach locations. The service we’re launching today – StartPost – has multiple goals, and we hope it will be well received by society. We expect many Romanian entrepreneurs will no longer have to stress about finding a registered address to start their business. Instead, they can come to Posta Romana and leave with a signed contract in ten minutes if they have all the required documents – or within a day, if additional paperwork is needed. So, for the nearly 80,000 Romanians who start companies each year, this is now a viable option, ” explained Valentin Stefan.

Posta Romana held a press conference on Monday to launch a new business product aimed at supporting the entrepreneurial sector. The new service, StartPost – Registered Office Hosting, available from August 1, is an initiative designed to assist entrepreneurs, start-ups, and companies in need of an accessible, secure, and legally compliant solution for hosting their registered office.

The purpose of this service is to support business development by offering the following benefits: quick and affordable rental contracts for a company’s registered office, available nationwide, an official registered address recognized by the Trade Registry, legally binding contracts, signed either physically or electronically through a dedicated online portal, receipt and SMS notifications for official correspondence (from tax authorities, courts, etc., secure, numbered mailboxes located in post offices, dedicated digital support for entrepreneurs.
