Stock Exchange opens Tuesday’s trading session with increases across most indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Tuesday’s trading session with increases across most indices, with turnover reaching 6.78 million lei (approximately 1.3 million euros) half an hour after the start of trading.

The main index BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a 0.47% increase, while the BET-Plus index, showing the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, registered a 0.45% rise.

Likewise, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.39%, while the BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund returns, appreciated 0.42%.

The BET-FI index of Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) recorded a decline of 0.62%, while the BET-NG, the index of the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, increased 0.35%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, rose 0.73%.

According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Teraplast (+4.69%), Medlife (+2.59%), and Santierul Naval Orsova (+2.41%).

On the other hand, shares of Aeta (-14.78%), Electromagnetica (-9.48%) and Sinteza (-3.66%) were declining.
