The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday’s session on the rise, with transactions amounting to 5.55 million lei (1.09 million euros) 30 minutes into the trading.
The main BET index, which shows the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, went slightly up by 0.16%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, saw an increase of 0.15%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.16%, while the benchmark for investment fund performance, BET-BK, appreciated by 0.38%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs saw an appreciation of 0.17%, while the BET-NG, the index of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, stagnated.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, was up 0.46%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by One United Properties (2.2%), Transilvania Invertments Alliance (+1.51%) and Transport Trade Services (+1.14%).
On the other hand, shares of SIF Hoteluri (-9.82%), Santierul Naval Orsova (-6.74%) and Aeta (-3.74%) went down.
