Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher on Thursday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s trading session in positive territory, with turnover reaching RON 12.03 million (approximately EUR 2.37 million) after the first 45 minutes of trading.

The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a 0.35% increase. Similarly, the BET-Plus index, which tracks the top 43 most traded shares on the BVB, was up 0.34%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid stocks, rose by 0.35%, while the BET-BK index — a benchmark for investment funds — gained 0.25%.

The BET-FI index, which tracks financial investment companies (SIFs), was up 0.34%, and the BET-NG index, which includes 10 energy and utilities companies, opened 0.52% higher.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, increased by 0.05%.

According to BVB data, the largest gains were posted by the Open-End Investment Fund ETF BET BRK (+3.09%), AETA (+2.86%), and Condmag (+2.70%).

Conversely, shares in Societatea de ConstrucTii Napoca fell by 10.69%, followed by One United Properties (-4.22%) and Alumil Rom Industry (-1.87%).
