President Nicusor Dan spent the past few days on a private visit to the Republic of Moldova, where he attended several local cultural events.
He took part, alongside the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, in festivals and cultural activities in Orheiul Vechi, Sipoteni, Mascauti and Ciuciuleni. The two also visited a parish near Chisinau – the the „Protection of the Mother of God” Church in the village of Ghidighici.
„These days spent across the Prut have reminded us how strong the ties between Romania and the Republic of Moldova are. Let us remain united, cherish what brings us together and look with confidence towards our European future,” the Romanian head of state wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
Nicusor Dan was accompanied in the Republic of Moldova by his partner and their two children.
