Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced on Sunday, in a video message released on Facebook, that the government is working on a system of multi-annual budgets for investments, which would allow local and county authorities to efficiently plan their construction works over a three-year period between 2026 and 2028.
These plans envisage both the projects financed under the ‘Anghel Saligny’ National Investment Program, as well as those implemented through other national investment programs.
„This will be a multi-annual program, which means national budgets for these programs. Each authority, each contractor will know how much money they will receive every year, in 2026, in 2027 and in 2028, and will be able to make a plan and size their construction sites accordingly,” said Bolojan.
The prime minister explained that Romania has already exceeded its investment capacity, which is why projects need to be clearly prioritized depending on the economic impact and the real needs of the regions.
„All areas are important, all areas of the country are priorities, but at a certain point one still has to make a selection and decide which projects are the most important, which ones would have the greatest economic impact, if they are completed,” Bolojan pointed out.
