The Defence Staff is organizing between 12-20 October, in Bucharest and Ilfov county, a training exercise to assess the mobilization reserve – MOBEX B-IF-25, the National Defence Ministry (MApN) informed.

The MApN underscores that this type of exercises are conducted periodically and aim to verify the personnel and equipment readiness of military units, as well as to strengthen cohesion between reservists and active-duty military personnel.

Reservists residing in Bucharest and Ilfov county, who will be called to the MApN units which they are assigned to, will participate in specific training activities for one day.

Similar drills were previously conducted in Bucharest in 2013 and in Ilfov county in 2021. A similar activity is planned for September in the counties of Sibiu and Mures, and the latest mobilization exercises were held in May 2025, in the counties of Teleorman, Giurgiu and Olt.

The exercise is organized in agreement with the provisions of the Law regarding the preparation of national economy and territory for defence and the Law regarding the preparation of the population for defence.

Reservists are called through the specialized structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI). The activities related to the assessment of local authorities and economic operators in the counties of Sibiu and Mures are organized and coordinated by the National Administration of State Reserves and Special Problems.

„In order to avoid disinformation and false news which could be spread in connection to these activities, we reiterate that these exercises are routine in nature and we recommend citizens to seek information from official sources. The MApN’s InfoRadar platform provides information regarding previous attempts to mislead the public on similar topics,” the MApN showed.
