Social Democratic Party (PSD) interim chairman Sorin Grindeanu announced on Monday that he will propose to his colleagues that the party return to the governing coalition meetings, underscoring that if the Government intends to advance the second package of reform measures, several discussions in this format need to take place this week.
„We will return. Just as we decided two weeks ago not to participate, through a vote in the National Standing Bureau meeting, we will decide today in the same manner whether to return. My proposal is to resume discussions, to hold not just one, but several meetings this week. I do not deny that in the past two weeks there have been working meetings in various working groups. I myself, including last night, met with the Prime Minister to discuss part of the measures we want included in this second package. I believe that this week, if there is a genuine intention to promote this package, more than one meeting is necessary. We shall see what the Standing Bureau decides,” Grindeanu said at the Parliament Palace.
