The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower across most indices on Tuesday, with turnover amounting to 5.31 million lei (1.05 million euros) after the first 40 minutes of trading.
The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, registered a decline of 0.03%, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, recorded a decrease of 0.02%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid securities, was up 0.01%, while the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund returns, was down 0.15%.
The BET-FI index of Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) posted an increase of 0.14%, while the BET-NG index, which includes the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, saw a slight decline of 0.06%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.28%.
According to BVB data, the largest increases in share value were recorded by Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (+12.87%), Grupul Industrial Electrocontact (+8.7%) and Chimcomplex Borzesti (+4.95%).
On the other hand, the biggest losses were registered by Roca Industry HoldinkRock1 (-3.74%), Rompetrol Rafinare (-3.11%) and Romcarbon (-2.84%).
