Heatwave to grip six Romanian counties, Bucharest City on Saturday

The National Weather Administration (NMA) has issued a new code yellow warning for particularly hot weather, valid on Saturday in six counties and the city of Bucharest.

According to the forecast, on Saturday, between 12:00hrs – 21:00hrs, in the southern counties of Dolj, Olt, Teleorman, Giurgiu, Calarasi, Ilfov and in Bucharest City, the heat wave and thermal discomfort will persist, with highs of 34 – 36 degrees Celsius.

On Friday, between 12:00 and 21:00, a code yellow for heat advisory will be in force in the counties of Timis, Arad and Bihor, where high temperatures, scorching heat and thermal discomfort should be expected, with a temperature-humidity index that will reach critical 80 in some areas. Highs between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius.
