President Nicusor Dan will pay an official visit to the Republic of Moldova on Sunday to attend events marking Romanian Language Day, the Moldovan Presidential Administration announced Friday.

According to the cited source, the Romanian president will be welcomed on Sunday at 8:40 a.m. by his Moldovan counterpart, Maia Sandu, at the State Residence in Chisinau, before attending at 10:00 a.m. the opening of the event „The Great National Dictation.”

Later, at 11:15 a.m., the two presidents will take part in a flower-laying ceremony at the bust of poet Mihai Eminescu in the town of Straseni, followed by the opening ceremony of the Romanian Language Day concert hosted at the local House of Culture.

This will be Nicusor Dan’s third visit to the Republic of Moldova since taking office, after his official visit on June 10 and his private visit on August 8, when he joined Maia Sandu at the Wolves Festival at Orheiul Vechi. AGERPRES
