Bucharest Stock Exchange opens lower across most indices on Monday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower across most indices on Monday, with trading volume reaching RON 4.9 million (EUR 966,083) after the first half hour of trading.

The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a decline of 0.20%, while the BET-Plus index, covering the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, also fell by 0.20%.

The extended blue-chip BET-XT index, comprising the 25 most liquid titles, decreased by 0.19%, whereas the investment fund benchmark BET-BK rose by 0.07%.

The BET-FI index of the SIFs fell by 0.21%, and BET-NG, tracking the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, dropped by 0.16%.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, declined by 0.54%.

According to BVB data, the largest gains were posted by Green Tech International (+5.28%), Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (+2.91%), and Premier Energy PLC (+1.21%).

Conversely, the biggest declines were seen in Prefab (-8.84%), Bittnet Systems (-3.85%), and Condmag (-3.23%).
