The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Monday’s trading session in decline across all indices, with a turnover of 2.17 billion lei (approximately 429.12 million euros) recorded within the first 30 minutes of trading.
The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, showed a depreciation of 0.37%, while the BET-Plus index, covering the 43 most traded shares on the BVB, also dropped 0.37%.
Similarly, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, lost 0.43%, and the BET-BK index, used as a benchmark for investment funds, also fell 0.43%.
The BET-FI index, which tracks the performance of the five Financial Investment Companies (SIFs), recorded a decline of 0.95%, while the BET-NG index, composed of 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, slipped 0.38%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market (SME and start-up segment), was down 0.52%.
According to BVB data, the biggest risers in share value were Romcab: +5.63%, Biofarm: +0.72%, Rompetrol Well Services: +0.68%.
Meanwhile, the biggest fallers were Condmag: -3.33%, Prebet Aiud: -2.87%, Chimcomplex Borzesti: -2.36%. AGERPRES
