The visual creations included in the „iMapp Bucharest – Winners League” competition, made by the best artists in the area, will be projected on Saturday, at 21:30hrs, on the 23,000 square meter facade of the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest.
According to a release sent to AGERPRES on Friday, the Chamber of Deputies is, this year too, a partner of the iMapp Bucharest – the the world’s largest video mapping festival, taking place Saturday and Sunday in the Constitution Square
The event marks a double anniversary: 566 years since the first documented mention of the Capital and 10 years of the iMapp festival.
The visual creations are made by top artists in the area, winners of seven partner festivals, namely: Chongqing International Light Art Festival in China, Genius Loci Weimar Festival in Germany, Jakarta Light Festival in Indonesia, Luma Projection Arts Festival in the US, 1minute Projection Mapping Competition in Japan, Video Mapping Festival in France and Zsolnay Light Festival in Hungary.
On the second day of the event, Sunday evening, starting at 20:00hrs, the light show on the facade of the Palace of Parliament will enhance the atmosphere for the performances held in the Constitution Square as part of the festival.
The anniversary edition includes special premieres: a projection dedicated to George Enescu, created by the organizers in collaboration with ARTEXIM and a video mapping piece inspired by the work of Constantin Brancusi, supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute.
The entry to all events at the iMapp Bucharest festival is free of charge. AGERPRES
