Chamber rejects simple motion against Environment minister

The simple motion against Minister of Environment, Waters and Forests Diana Buzoianu was rejected in the plenary sitting of the Chamber of Deputies on Wednesday.

There were 200 votes against, 87 votes in favour and 15 abstentions.

AUR MPs submitted the simple motion last week against Minister Diana Buzoianu, titled: „Weakening Romania’s energy security through environmental policies that obstruct the commissioning of hydroelectric plants started before 1989”.

The simple motion was debated on Monday in the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, in the presence of the Minister of Environment.
