The parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova that will take place on Sunday represent „a crucial moment” for the future of its citizens, President Nicusor Dan said on Wednesday.
„Dear Bessarabians who live, work, study in Romania, you will always be welcomed here and respected. But I know that your roots have remained beyond the Prut and Sunday is a decisive moment, essential for Moldova – the parliamentary elections. I invite you all to go to the polls. Go to the polls. Your future, that of your families, that of Bessarabia depends on your vote,” the head of state said in a video message posted on Facebook.
In the text accompanying the video message, Nicusor Dan emphasizes that the bond between Romania and the Republic of Moldova „is not just historical – it is a living bond, built every day through people, families and common values”.
„I urge all Bessarabians in Romania to vote in one of the 23 polling stations organized in 14 cities in the country”, the president added.
The complete list of polling stations is available on the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest. AGERPRES
