The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s trading session with gains on most indices, with turnover standing at 8.45 million lei (1.66 million euros) after the first 30 minutes of trading.
The main index, BET, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a 0.84% increase, while the BET-Plus index, which tracks the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, also rose 0.83%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid securities, gained 0.71%, while the investment funds’ benchmark index, BET-BK, appreciated 0.45%.
The BET-FI index, which reflects the performance of the five Financial Investment Companies (SIFs), registered an increase of 0.01%, and the BET-NG index, which includes the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, was up 0.31%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.41%.
According to BVB data, the biggest share price increases were recorded by Sphera Franchise Group (+2.45%), Banca Transilvania (+2.4%) and Longshiels Investment Group (+2.02%).
On the other hand, shares in AETA (-1.64%), Fondul Deschis de Investiţii Globinvest Energy&Financials ETF (-1.51%) and Fondul Proprietatea (-0.94%) were down. AGERPRES
