MEP Dan Barna was re-elected on Saturday Vice-President of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE).

„I thank my Liberal friends for my re-election as Vice-President of ALDE Party – Liberals and Democrats for Europe! This reconfirmation honors me and I will fight for our mission towards liberal values and citizens, for democracy and the rule of law throughout the European Union and its neighborhood. I will continue my mission together with the team in the #ALDEParty Bureau,” Dan Barna wrote on Facebook.

He also thanked his colleagues from the Save Romania Union (USR) for standing by him. The delegation was led by USR Chairman Dominic Fritz and consisted of USR ministers Oana Toiu, Diana Buzoianu, Ionut Mosteanu, Radu Miruta, MPs Stefan Palarie, Iulian Bulai, Oana Murariu, Allen Coliban, Cynthia Paun, Corina Atanasiu, Cristian Ghinea, local councilors Diana Muresan, Lavinia Udrea, USR spokesperson Cristian Seidler, Alina Girbea and Roxana Vilcu – co-founders of the Women in Politics movement.
