The amounts for over 600,000 beneficiaries of the energy voucher, support worth over 34 million RON for paying bills in September, have been transferred, the Minister of Labor, Family, Youth and Social Solidarity announced on Tuesday.

„It is an important aid for vulnerable families and individuals, who are facing increasing expenses and for whom every leu counts. It is necessary to find out as many potential beneficiaries as possible. Those who meet the conditions can still apply for the energy voucher, either online or directly at post offices,” the minister wrote on his Facebook page.

The National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection (ANPIS) announced, in turn, through a press release that it had made a new payment tranche for 628,173 energy voucher beneficiaries, representing support granted according to GEO no. 35/2025 regarding the introduction of a support mechanism for household electricity consumers in energy poverty for the payment of electricity bills for September 2025.

„Beneficiaries who have received the amounts in mandate accounts for bill payment can go to post offices with the invoice issued by the energy supplier and can use the money to pay for electricity consumption in September,” the press release states.

Starting in mid-September 2025, when the first payment was made, ANPIS transferred over 93 million lei to mandate accounts for approximately 632,000 beneficiaries of this financial support, intended for the payment of electricity bills.

The financial support is granted until March 31, 2026, so applications for the energy voucher can be submitted at any time, online (EPIDS) or physically, at city halls and post offices. When paying the bill at post offices, the voucher must not be presented, but the invoice issued by the electricity supplier, ANPIS specifies.AGERPRES
