For two days, Romania’s capital is hosting NATO Industry Forum 2025 (NIF2025), an event organized under the aegis of the Secretary General of the Alliance.
The event is organized by the Supreme Allied Command Transformation (SACT) and the Defence Industry, Innovation and Armaments Division of the NATO HQ International Staff, with the support of the National Defence Ministry (MApN).
By hosting the forum, Romania reconfirms its commitment to supporting the strategic dialogue between NATO and the defence industry.
The event will also be attended by National Defence Minister Ionut Mosteanu and Tarja Jaakkola, NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Defence Industry, Innovation and Armaments, as well as civilian seniors and high-ranking militaries of the Alliance and the European Union.
According to the MApN, the event gatherers over 800 participants from 26 NATO and partner countries, as well as over 300 companies from the defence industry.
The main objectives of NIF25 focus on exploring concrete solutions in order to boost the Alliance’s defence capability, including identifying innovative mechanisms needed to expand defence production, capitalizing on commercial innovation, particularly dual-use technologies, as well as exploring solutions that could fundamentally change the way of operating in the future.
