ForMin Toiu participating in OSCE 32nd Ministerial Council meeting

Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu participates in the 32nd Ministerial Council meeting of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), taking place in Vienna Thursday through Friday.

According to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) release sent to AGERPRES, the event takes place against the backdrop of a European security environment deeply affected by the Russian Federation’s war of aggression against Ukraine.

In the year marking 50 years since the signing of the Helsinki Final Act, the agenda of the meeting, coordinated by the Finnish OSCE chairmanship-in-office, focuses on reaffirming the fundamental principles of the Helsinki Decalogue and on the Organisation’s continued adaptation to current global challenges, MAE points out.

Romania’s participation in this event reconfirms the country’s commitment to the rules-based international order and the role of the OSCE as a platform for dialogue on European security issues, the source adds. AGERPRES
