EP President Roberta Metsola, welcomed by Klaus Iohannis at Cotroceni presidential palace

The president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, was welcomed, on Monday, at the Cotroceni Palace by president Klaus Iohannis, according to Agerpres.

The two officials will have one-to-one and official talks at the end of which they will hold joint press statements.

The president of the European Parliament is making a working visit to Romania on Monday and Tuesday. She will also have meetings on Monday with prime minister Nicolae Ciuca, the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate – Marcel Ciolacu and Alina Gorghiu. From 18:00, she will address the Romanian MPs, who will meet in a joint session of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.

On Tuesday, Roberta Metsola will meet with the youth at the event titled „Together we are Europe”, organized by the EP Office in Romania, in partnership with the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest.
