Non-performing loans, down to 2.82% in September

The rate of non-performing loans was, at the end of the third quarter of 2022, 2.82%, compared to 3.01% at the end of the previous quarter, according to data centralised by the National Bank of Romania (BNR), Agerpres reports.

In September 2022, there were 34 credit institutions in Romania, eight of which were branches of foreign banks. Total assets amounted to 679.3 billion lei, 14.9 billion lei higher compared to June 2022.

The assets of institutions with private capital represented 88.6% of total assets, and the assets of institutions with foreign capital represented 68%.

Also, the solvency indicator was, in September 2022, 21.52%, compared to 21.43% at the end of June.
