The Government adopted a decision by which the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was supplemented with 56.7 million RON, to settle the food and accommodation expenses of citizens from the area of the armed conflict in Ukraine, hosted of natural persons, according to a press release sent to Agerpres.
The decision was adopted regarding the allocation of an amount from the Budgetary Reserve Fund at the disposal of the Government, foreseen in the state budget for 2022, to supplement the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, for the purpose of settlement from the budget of the county inspectorates for emergency situations / the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate of food and accommodation expenses for foreign citizens or stateless persons in special situations, coming from the armed conflict zone in Ukraine, hosted by natural persons.
The budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the year 2022 was supplemented with 56.7 million RON, for the settlement, in December, of food and accommodation expenses for approximately 27,000 foreign citizens or stateless persons from the armed conflict zone in Ukraine, hosted by individuals.
„The money represents financial support of 20 RON/accommodated person/day for providing food and 50 RON/accommodated person/day for providing lodging. Thus, the payment schedule established by Decision no. 336/2022 is respected. The amount is allocated from the Fund of the Government’s reserve and represents commitment credits and budget credits for financing the expenses provided for in article 1, paragraph 10, of Emergency Ordinance 15/2022 regarding the provision of humanitarian support and assistance by the Romanian state to foreign citizens or stateless persons in special situations, originating from the area of the armed conflict in Ukraine”, the press release states.
The Government mentions that until now, against the background of the prolongation of the conflict situation in Ukraine, it has allocated funds in the total amount of 335 million RON, representing support and humanitarian assistance for foreign citizens or stateless persons from the armed conflict zone in Ukraine.
