The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure signed the financing contract, worth 212.84 million RON, for the expansion of the passenger terminal of the Oradea International Airport, Minister Sorin Grindeanu announced on Facebook, according to Agerpres.
„Oradea International Airport now has the money needed to expand the passenger terminal! The financing contract with a value of 212.84 million RON, including VAT (POIM), which was signed today by the Ministry of Transport, will allow this airport to brings a series of modernizations until the end of next year: the construction of an adjacent body for Schengen and non-Schengen departures, the expansion of access roads, the expansion of the short-term parking lot and the purchase of equipment for aircraft de-icing,” Grindeanu said.
The Bihor County Council approved on November 15, in an ordinary meeting, the technical-economic indicators for the four-fold expansion of the current surface of the passenger terminal of Oradea Airport, a project of almost 213 million RON, with European financing.
„This project, together with the others we are working on, will solve the airport infrastructure of Oradea Municipality and Bihor County for many years to come. Thus, we will have an expanded passenger terminal that will handle all flows, energy efficient, with a car park and access via a roundabout from the national road DN79.There will also be an area intended for a hotel, an operational cargo terminal, a runway extended to 2,500 meters, fully modernized control, landing and take-off systems and a smart fence arranged on the new configuration of the airport”, stated, then, the chairman of the Bihor County Council, Ilie Bolojan.
The total ineligible value of the project is 46,333,521.30 RON, of which 15,029,915.92 RON, including VAT, represents the cost of the works for the expansion of the parking lot, provided by the Bihor County Council.
The duration of the investment is 8 months, of which two months for the design and six months for the execution of the works.
