Nuclearelectrica launches the CNE Cernavoda 2022 internship program

Nuclearelectrica (SNN), the national company producing electricity, thermal energy and nuclear fuel, is launching the CNE Cernavoda 2022 Internship Program, as part of the Nucleu de Excelenta / Excellence Core employer brand and the strategy of training a new generation of engineers, according to a press release sent to Agerpres on Tuesday.

The program offers a number of 27 places for bachelor’s/master’s degree graduates, master’s students in progress, in the following fields/specializations: Electrical Engineering; Energy engineering; Systems engineering; Computers and information technology; Electronic engineering, Telecommunications and information technologies; Physics/Technological Physics/Physical Engineering; Mechanical engineering; Economy; Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.

„Through the investment projects that Nuclearelectrica has, the Refurbishment of Unit 1, the Project of Units 3 and 4, the development of small modular reactors, we offer young people in Romania extraordinary career opportunities. Young people have the opportunity to train and capitalize on their potential in country, in a company with an essential role in ensuring Romania’s energy security and in an internationally recognized team of professionals, willing to share experience, train new professionals, offer mentoring,” said Cosmin Ghita, the managing director of SNN.

„In our events to attract the young generation, we met intelligent, motivated, willing and able young people to grow and work in Romania. Nuclearelectrica offers them in Romania everything they need for a successful career,” he added.

SNN’s investment strategy for the next 10 years aims to develop 3 strategic projects: the re-engineering of Unit 1 of CNE Cernavoda, the Project of reactors 3 and 4, and the project of small modular reactors, worth approximately 9 billion Euros, and the implementation of the internship program at CNE Cernavoda contributes to the growth of a new generation of nuclear scientists, by attracting, retaining and training young people from Romania, by capitalizing on their potential.
