Roberta Metsola: Moldova’s place is in the European family

The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, sent a message to the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

„Moldova’s place is in the European family. In this difficult geopolitical context, you can count on European Parliament’s trust & solidarity. President Maia Sanbdu, your leadership and courage in pursuing reforms towards EU membership have our full support. We will walk together”, Roberta Metsola wrote on Twitter.

The message was accompanied with a picture of a letter with the European Parliament’s logo.

The message came a day after Moldovan President Maia Sandu said the plans of the Russian Federation to destabilize the situation in the Republic of Moldova were confirmed by the state institutions and aimed at the change of power from Chisinau.
