Companies from South Korea, such as Hyundai Rotem and Hanwha, are interested in investing in Romania, in the field of health and green energy infrastructure, and Brasov has a number of advantages to be chosen as a destination, the Korean ambassador Rim Kap-soo declared on Friday, during a meeting with the mayor Allen Coliban, informs the Brasov City Hall, write Agerpres.
We are very interested in strengthening cooperation with the city of Brasov in the field of health and green energy infrastructure. So, in this area there are some companies, such as Hyundai Rotem and Hanwha, which have a great interest in concrete projects here in Romania, for factories in the field green energy and the modernization of railway or transport systems or for investments in the area of ecological infrastructure. So there would be an opportunity and they are doing everything possible to make it happen here. They want to have concrete and substantial projects in Romania and they are now in searching for the right place, the right area for such projects. And Brasov has a number of advantages in this sense. And in terms of medical infrastructure, because we have already developed projects with the Ministry of Health, I want to expand this cooperation to cover and the city of Brasov, said ambassador Rim Kap-soo.
For his part, the mayor Allen Coliban presented what Brasov has to offer to potential investors: spaces for strategic investments, such as the CET platform and other industrial parks, adding that he is interested in collaborating with top companies, which can offer expertise and technology advanced in the projects started here: the photovoltaic park, the construction of the Regional Hospital and the Hospital of Lung and Infectious Diseases, but also those related to mobility, such as bicycle paths, transport by electric buses and the metropolitan train.
The parties also discussed the possibility of twinning Brasov with a city from the Republic of Korea, similar in size, culture and tradition, says the source.
After the meeting at Brasov City Hall, the ambassador gave a speech to the students of Transilvania University.
