A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred on Friday morning in Vrancea county

A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 occurred on Friday morning, at 6:19 a.m., in Vrancea county, Vrancea seismic zone, according to data published by the National Research and Development Institute for Earth Physics (INCDFP).

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 103.8 km, near the cities: 44 km west of Focsani, 58 km north of Buzau, 69 km east of Sfantu-Gheorghe, 79 km east of Brasov and 91 km northeast of Ploiesti.

The most important earthquake in recent months occurred in September in Buzau County and had a magnitude of 5.2.

Also, at the beginning of this year, in February, there was an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.7 in Gorj county.
