A law on administrative reform, a legislative package regarding Romania’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), along with legislation that will implement the milestones in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) are the top priorities of the parliamentary session that began on Monday for the Social Democratic Party (PSD) groups in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.
„At a joint meeting of the PSD lawmakers in Senate and the Chamber of Deputies, we decided on the legislative priorities that the PSD will come up with in this legislature. You know, the party national leader has announced that the PSD’s priority is the law on administrative reform. You should know that we have set up a working group to draw up this document. We will also collaborate with our colleagues in the coalition to come out with the final form,” leader of the PSD senators Daniel Zamfir said after the meeting of the party’s lawmakers.
According to him, another legislative priority of the PSD is a package of laws on Romania’s accession to the OECD and the pieces of legislation that will implement the milestones of the PNRR.
„We also have a certain package of specific laws regarding finance and banking. There are two legislative proposals on the consolidation of the national currency, that is, we want the payment of bills for services and utilities to be made in the national currency, the leu, and also a law regulating pawnshops,” he said.
