The Deputy Secretary General of the Government, Adrian Țuțuianu leads the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Government at the 48th meeting of the Corporate Governance Committee.
- These days I am in Paris, where I am leading the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Government at the 48th meeting of the OECD Corporate Governance Committee (November 4-5).
In short: plenary and bilateral meetings extremely favorable for Romania’s path towards accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). I underline the very productive discussion with Ms. Sara Sultan, Acting Head of Unit OECD – in view of Romania’s assessment, planned for the first part of 2025.
We discussed applied topics such as practices and policies on the conduct of general meetings of shareholders in companies listed on regulated markets, the pilot project on corporate governance guidelines for bond issuers or Romania’s alignment with the G20/OECD principles.
I recall that Romania’s accession to the OECD is a major objective of Romanian foreign policy, with an ASSUMED deadline: 2026!
Together with the SGG, our country’s delegation also includes representatives of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF). Thanks to the Romanian Embassy in Paris for its support during the event.
