Almost 11,000 companies suspend their activity in the first nine months of 2022

The number of companies that suspended their activity in the first nine months of 2022 was 10,910, an increase of 19.92% compared to the same period in 2021, according to data published by the National Trade Registry Office (ONRC), Agerpres reports.

The most companies that suspended their activity in the mentioned interval were from Bucharest, respectively 1,152 (number increasing by 23.61% compared to the period January – September 2021).

In September, 1,312 companies were suspended, the most in Bucharest (138), Constanta (136) and Cluj (52).

By field of activity, the highest number of suspensions was registered in the first nine months in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, respectively 3,090 (+20.94%), other service activities – 1,035 suspensions (+2 .07%) and in professional, scientific and technical activities – 960 suspensions (+35.02%).
