Almost 115,000 people employed in first seven months of 2023

114,778 people were employed in the first seven months of 2023 by the county and Bucharest employment agencies, the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) informed on Tuesday, write Agerpres.

From the total number of employed persons until July 31, 2023, 53,456 are over 45 years old, 19,824 are between 35 and 45 years old, 19,260 are between 25 and 35 years old, and 22,238 are young people under 25 years old.

Of the total number of employed people, 24,096 are NEET youth. The number of employed women is 52,561, and of men 62,217, their share in the total employed persons being 45.79% and 54.21%, respectively.

Depending on residence, 58,609 people employed in the reference period come from the urban environment, and 56,169 people are from the rural environment. The level of education of the people for whom a job was identified shows that most of them have high school (38,027), gymnasium (28,153), vocational (26,259), 11,277 with university education.

Of the total number of people employed through ANOFM in the first seven months of 2023, 44,488 are part of the category of those who are difficult and very difficult to employ. In the ranking of the counties with the most employed persons, Bucharest occupies the first place (12,201), followed by Timis (6,742) and Neamt (4,690). During the reference period, the number of people who benefited from assistance for registration as jobseekers, in order to ensure social protection regarding the granting of unemployment benefits or inclusion in active measures, was 297,360 people.
