Almost 92,000 people enter Romania on Thursday, including about 6,000 Ukrainians

The General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPR) informs that on Thursday, 91,553 people entered Romania through the border crossing points, of whom 6,076 were Ukrainian citizens, write Agerpres.

According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Friday, approximately 170,100 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, with more than 47,300 means of transport, went through the control formalities at the border points throughout the country, both in the direction of entry and exit.

Starting with February 10, 2022 (pre-conflict period), 3,927,377 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.

In the areas of competence, the crossing points and the „green border”, the police found 49 illegal acts (32 crimes and 17 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens, and the amount of contravention fines applied amounts to over 41,400 RON.

Goods were seized for confiscation in the amount of approximately 909,000 RON.

On Thursday, 18 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided for by law were not allowed to enter the country and 13 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
