Almost 9,600 companies suspend activity in first eight months of 2022 in Romania

The number of companies that suspended their activity in the first eight months of 2022 was 9,598, up by more than 20.4% compared to the same period in 2021, according to data published by the National Trade Register Office (ONRC), Agerpres reads.

By field of activity, the highest number of suspensions was registered in the first eight months in wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, respectively 2,725 (+21.43%), other service activities – 920 suspensions (+3.37%) and in professional, scientific and technical activities – 865 suspensions (+38.18%).
