At the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the City of Bucharest (CCIB) took place the meeting of the president of the Bucharest Chamber, Iuliu Stocklosa, with HE Md Daud Ali, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova and North Macedonia (with residence in Bucharest). The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Kaushik Iqbal, Secretary 3 of the Embassy, the CCIB press release states.
Iuliu Stocklosa used this opportunity to make a brief presentation of the Bucharest Chamber, emphasizing the recognition that our organization enjoys in the country and abroad and pointing out some particularities of the CCIB’s activity. In the context where the level of trade, although increasing, does not reflect the potential of the two economies, in the opinion of the CCIB president, the organization of a „Day of business opportunities” dedicated to the Republic of Bangladesh and the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry can contribute to the development of commercial relations between the two countries.
ES Md Daud Ali a vorbit despre evoluția economiei țării sale, punctând potențialul de export al R. P. Bangladesh îndeosebi în industria ușoară (textile, pielărie) și în cea farmaceutică. În ceea ce privește importul, a precizat că România este o piață interesantă pentru ulei de floarea soarelui și grâu. În acest context, a exprimat dorința de a identifica, cu sprijinul CCIB oameni de afaceri români interesați să lucreze cu parteneri din țara sa pe aceste axe. În plus, a subliniat întregul sprijin al Ambasadei pentru antreprenorii români care doresc să atragă forță de muncă din țara sa pentru acoperirea necesarului în diverse domenii de activitate, menționând că R.P.Bangladesh este cunoscută pentru trimiterea, la cerere, de muncitori și specialiști în țările din Asia și Europa.
