The event was held in Tokyo and was hosted by the Japanese External Trade Organization(JETRO – Japan External Trade Organization ). I emphasized the importance of collaboration between companies in our country and those in Japan.

I was impressed by the significant number of people from various economic sectors and officials from both countries in attendance. This shows that the strategic partnership signed last year by the President of Romania has been valuable and is yielding concrete results.

During the Forum, I highlighted the need to digitize state-owned enterprises in Romania, as this could significantly enhance their performance, especially considering they represent 7% of the national economy. Digitalization of public companies would make them more sustainable and resilient in times of crisis.

In conclusion, I reiterated the significance of collaboration between Romanian and Japanese companies, which presents a great opportunity for both countries to develop strong projects, attract investments, and create better-paying jobs.
