The representatives of the American Fluor Corporation are interested in getting involved in the project of the electricity transmission cable on the Tuzla – Podisor route, then on the corridor of the BRUA gas pipeline, announced minister of Energy Virgil Popescu, according to Agerpres.

The Minister of Energy and the general director of Nuclearelectrica, Cosmin Ghita, met on Wednesday with the representatives of the American company Fluor Corporation to discuss the latest developments in the small modular reactor project, which will be installed in Doicesti, as well as the project of Units 3 and 4 from CNE Cernavoda.

„It is important to collaborate and coordinate so that these two very important projects for our country are completed on time, in order to ensure our independence and energy security. Moreover, those from Fluor have expressed their interest in getting involved in the cable project of electricity transport on the Tuzla – Podisor route, then on the BRUA gas pipeline corridor, to ensure the connection from the east to the west of the country. It’s good news for Romania,” Virgil Popescu wrote on his Facebook page.
