The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) checked over 2,400 individuals and legal entities in the context of international sanctions after the start of the war in Ukraine, blocked 10.099 million euros and confiscated another 13.171 million RON, announced, on Friday, the president of the Agency, Lucian Ovidiu Heius, at a press conference, according to Agerpres.
According to the head of ANAF, the institution issued 7 orders of ANAF president to Aeroflot, TMK (and the 4 companies belonging to the same group), Metalloinvest Trading, MMK Metalurji, MMK Metalurji Sanayi, which were subject to international sanctions.
Lucian Ovidiu Heius also said that an order the amount of 10.099 million euros was ordered to be frozen, administrative fines were imposed on those who did not comply with the decisions following the sanctions in the amount of 280,000 RON and 13.171 million RON were confiscated.
„At the same time, as president of ANAF, I also issued 9 orders of derogation from these sanctions because I considered that it is not normal for certain companies where many employees worked and which were at risk of being closed not to carry out their activity. And as you know, there are both an issued ordinance and a European directive that allow, under certain conditions, the suspension of these sanctions by the appointment of a special administrator who practically supervises all the payments made within the company and all the company’s activity so that no financial resources reach the Russian oligarchs on this list, but at the same time the Romanian economy and the employees of these companies should not suffer,” said Lucian Ovidiu Heius.
