The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, said on Monday, in Iasi, that any region in Romania and not only develops when it has major investments in three areas – transport, health and education.
„Anything in Romania, and in general, develops when it has major investments in three areas. It is about transport, health and education. If these three conditions are met, then the attractiveness for the economy of a region, such as Moldova for investors, will be much bigger because, on the one hand, they will have trained people to respond to employment needs, on the other hand they have a medical system that ensures the health of the people in the region. And, last but not least, roads of communication that must be fast and must not put pressure from an economic point of view on the agents who want to invest in a region”, Minister Rafila told journalists, who participated in the debate „Development of Moldova – the key project for capitalizing on the potential of Romania’s development”.
The minister of health stated, at the same time, that the Health Ministry is working to achieve these major investments in medical units both in Iasi and in the other counties of Moldova region.
„We have projects, I would say ambitious, we have signed contracts in Bacau, Neamt, we will also sign in other counties in Moldova – in Braila, Galati, almost certainly, in Vaslui we also have a big project, the Vaslui County Hospital. What we want is for the whole of Moldova to benefit from good quality health services. We have a great opportunity that we must use, it is the presence of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, which can train young doctors in the latest technologies and with the inauguration of the Regional Emergency Hospital in Iasi, I am convinced that these young doctors will settle in our country and will be very satisfied with the quality of their work, because the new Regional Emergency Hospital can meet these requirements”, Minister Rafila also said.
The event that took place at the Palace of Culture in Iasi was also attended by the Minister of Finance, Marcel Bolos, the President of the Construction Designers’ Association, Alexandru Fulga, Secretary of State Eduard Mititelu from the Ministry of Public Works Development and Administration, Undersecretary of State Razvan Popescu from the Ministry of European Investments and Projects, the director of the North East Regional Development Agency, Vasile Asandei, as well as presidents of county councils from the North East area of Romania.
