Approximately 180,800 people crossed the border points throughout the country, on Friday

Approximately 180,800 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, and over 48,800 means of transport carried out the control formalities on Friday, both inbound and outboundt, through the border points throughout the country, write Agerpres.

According to the General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPF), 88,882 people entered Romania, of which 9,971 were Ukrainian citizens.

Thus, starting from 10.02.2022 (pre-conflict period), until 19.05.2023, midnight, at the national level, 4,273,310 Ukrainian citizens entered Romania.

Regarding the specific activities, in the areas of competence – the crossing points and the „green border” – the border police detected 62 illegal acts (26 crimes and 36 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign citizens.

The amount of contravention fines applied amounts to approximately 19,000 RON, and goods seized for confiscation were worth more than 1,336,244 RON.

10 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions provided for by law were not allowed to enter the country, and 25 Romanian citizens were also not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
