The General Inspectorate of the Border Police (IGPF) informs that approximately 185,800 people, Romanian and foreign nationals, and more than 49,500 means of transport underwent border checks at all of Romania’s crossing points on Friday, on both the inbound and the outbound, write Agerpres.
According to a press release sent to AGERPRES on Saturday, there were 83,159 people entering Romania, including 7,973 Ukrainian citizens. The number of Ukrainians who crossed into Romania since the pre-war date of February 10 is 4,212,220.
As part of the specific activities at crossing points and the green border, the border police found, on Friday, 63 illegal acts (35 crimes and 28 misdemeanors) committed by both Romanian and foreign nationals.
Fines worth approximately 41,400 RON were issued and the value of the seized undeclared goods amounts to more than 4,759,900 RON.
Twenty-two foreign citizens who did not meet the legal requirements were denied entry to the country, and 24 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave the country for various legal reasons.
