Arrears to general consolidated budget down 8.8 pct in February 2024

Arrears to the general consolidated budget decreased by 8.8% in February 2024, compared to the previous month, to 320.1 million RON, from 351 million RON in January, according to data published on the Ministry of Finance (MF) website.

Arrears over 90 days decreased by 17.32%, from 140.3 million RON to 116 million RON, those over 120 days decreased by 2%, from 135.3 million RON in January 2024 to 132.6 million RON in February 2024. Arrears over 360 days decreased by 5.17%, from 75.5 million RON to 71.6 million RON.

According to the cited source, as regards local budgets, arrears decreased by 9.33% from 323.8 million RON (in January 2024) to 293.6 million RON (in February 2024).

Arrears over 90 days decreased by 16% to 110.2 million RON, those over 120 days by 2.31% to 122.6 million RON and arrears over 360 days decreased by 9.24% to 60.9 million RON.

In the chapter „state and autonomous budgets,”, arrears decreased from 27.2 million RON in January 2024 to 26.5 million RON in February (-2.58%).

Arrears over 90 days went down by 36.27% to 5.8 million RON, those over 120 days increased by 2.04% to 10 million RON and those over 360 days increased by 28.9% to 10.7 million RON.
