Arrears to the general consolidated budget were 21.8 percent up this March to RON 389.9 million, from RON 320.1 million in February, shows data released on the website of the Finance Ministry.
Arrears more than 90 days past due increased by 40.5 percent from RON 116 million RON to RON 163 million, while those more than 120 days outstanding increased by 15.8 percent from RON 132.6 million in February 2024 to RON 153.6 million in March 2024. More than 360 days overdue arrears picked up 2.5 percent, from RON 71.6 million to RON 73.4 million.
Arrears to local budgets increased 21.39 percent from RON 293.6 million in February 2024 to RON 356.4 million in March 2024, with debts over 90 days past due advancing 38.11 percent to RON 152.2 million, those more than 120 days past due going up 16.3 percent to RON 142.6 million, and those outstanding for over 360 days picking up 1.15 percent to RON 61.6 million.
Arrears in the chapter „State budget and autonomous entities” increased from RON 26.5 million in February 2024 to RON 33.5 million in March (+26.4 percent).
Debts over 90 days past due advanced 84.48 percent to RON 10.7 million, those over 120 days past due increased by 10 percent to RON 11 million, and those more than 360 days overdue increased by 10.2 percent to 11.8 million RON.
