National leader of the Alliance for the Unification of Romanians (AUR) George Simon said on Monday, before talks at the Government House on the calendar of this year’s elections, that for his party it would have been important for the presidential election to take place on schedule, adding that he has nothing to do because „the prime minister is a liar.”

„It seems to me that Mr Ciolacu thinks high of himself, although he is in fact a liar. We ask nothing but that individuals like Marcel Ciolacu and Rares Bogdan stop lying. Rares Bogdan came up with this version of pensions no longer be taxed, if anyone remembers. Now he really wants to save the schools. Can you imagine how Rares Bogdan saves the schools, that there will be only one ballot to count, not five, as in the illegally combined elections. It’s a flawed electoral process. The Liberal gentlemen are at odds with the Social Democratic Party (PSD). (…) For AUR it was opportune for the election to take place on schedule, this year, but what can I do since the prime minister is a liar and his partners are also liars?” Simion said at the Government House.

According to him, there are serious problems, including raising excise duties.
